OTTAWA — Canada’s national annual inflation rate was 1.9 per cent in March, Statistics Canada says. Here’s what happened in the provinces (previous month in brackets):

— Newfoundland and Labrador: 1.2 per cent (0.5)

— Prince Edward Island: 1.0 (0.4)

— Nova Scotia: 1.3 (1.0)

— New Brunswick: 1.6 (0.9)

— Quebec: 1.8 (1.3)

— Ontario: 1.8 (1.5)

— Manitoba: 2.3 (2.0)

— Saskatchewan: 1.8 (1.3)

— Alberta: 2.3 (1.6)

— British Columbia: 2.6 (2.2)
