RNC Materials Corp. (TSX:RNX). Metals. Up 13 cents, or 24.07 per cent, to 67 cents on 16.7 million shares.
Aphria Inc. (TSX:APHA). Health care. Up $1.03, or 11.59 per cent, to $9.92 on 11.7 million shares.
Aurora Cannabis Inc. (TSX:ACB). Health care. Down 13 cents, or 1.52 per cent, to $8.40 on 7.5 million shares.
Hexo Corp. (TSX:HEXO). Health care. Up 67 cents, or 9.68 per cent, to $7.59 on 4.7 million shares.
Trevali Mining Corp. (TSX:TV). Down one cent, or 2.86 per cent, to 34 cents on 3.7 million shares.
MEG Energy Corp. (TSX:MEG). Energy. Down nine cents, or 1.68 per cent, to $5.26 on 2.8 million shares.
Barrick Gold Corp. (TSX:ABX). Up 25 cents or 1.6 per cent to $15.89. Barrick Gold says it’s exploring all options including the possible sale of its Lumwana mine in Zambia as the government considers increased taxes. While acknowledging that the government is under pressure to increase revenue, company chief operating officer Willem Jacobs said the changes would hit the mine’s profitability. Barrick said it continues to engage with Zambia about ways forward for the operation, including a potential partnership approach with an increased stake for the government in the mine’s economic performance.
MTY Food Group Inc. (TSX:MTY). Up 98 cents, or 1.4 per cent to $68.96. Restaurant franchisor and operator MTY Food Group is increasing its quarterly dividend to shareholders by 10 per cent. The company says it will pay a quarterly dividend of 16.5 cents per share on Feb. 15, up from its previous rate of 15 cents per share. MTY says it’s the seventh increase since its first dividend declared in 2010. The new dividend rate will give MTY an annual yield of about 0.97 per cent, based on the company’s share price of $67.98 on Friday.
