Some of the most active companies traded Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (16,444.39, up 88.34 points).

Aurora Cannabis Inc. (TSX:ACB). Healthcare. Up 66 cents, or 7.68 per cent, to $9.25 on 35.1 million shares.

Aphria Inc. (TSX:APH). Healthcare. Up 96 cents, or 6.85 per cent, to $14.97 on 24.7 million shares.

Canopy Growth Corp. (TSX:WEED). Healthcare. Up $1.38, or 2.35 per cent, to $60 on 12.6 million shares.

The The Hydropothercary Corp. Corp. (TSX:HEXO)  Healthcare. Up 36 cents, or 6.81 per cent, to $5.65 on 8.57 million shares.

Cronos Group Inc. (TSX:CRON). Healthcare. Up $2.67, or 20.57 per cent, to $15.65 on 8.3 million shares.

Brookfield Property Partners LP. (TSX:BPY.UN) Real Estate. Up 41 cents, or 1.59 per cent, to $26.20 on 7.7 million shares.

 

Companies reporting major news:

Aimia Inc. (TSX:AIM) Down seven cents, or 1.67 per cent, to $4.13 on 924,000 shares. The loyalty company that operates Aeroplan named Nathaniel Felsher as president and chief strategy officer, less than a week after announcing a deal to sell its flagship loyalty program to a consortium led by Air Canada. The tentative $450-million Aeroplan deal reassured members they can continue to redeem their points for Air Canada flights, but left Aimia’s direction up in the air.
